Icon of Hyderabad
A lavish and magnificent breakthrough that harks back to the glory days when India was directed by Kings, Charminar is the most well renowned monument and mosque in all of Hyderabad.
The title Charminar literally converts to "Four Towers" and "Mosque of the Four Minarets" which exemplifies the pattern of the mosque's structure as four towers ascend to the heavens off the major body. These were evidently conceived to comprise the first four caliphs of Islam respectively.
The tales considering Charminar's creation are diverse though all acquiesce that it was assembled under the instructions of Sultan Muhammad Quli Qutub Shah who was the leader of the town at the time. In one tale the town was inundated by a plague, and the Sultan pleaded for an end to the suffering. Upon the eradication of the plague, he organised a mosque to be conceived on the very location he chose for prayer. Others show that it was dedicated to his wife while another article assertions it was constructed to assess the intersection of the four foremost streets of the city. Of course all of the tales could be factual as they manage not inevitably contradict each other.
